The US revoked the export licenses for chips from Intel Corporation (INTC.US) and QUALCOMM Incorporated (QCOM.US) to Chinese telecoms equipment maker, Huawei, Reuters quoted sources as saying.
Some of the companies were notified yesterday (7th) that their export licenses were revoked with immediate effect, sources said. The US Department of Commerce confirmed earlier that it had revoked some of the export licenses to Huawei, but declined to disclose details.
