Apple's iPhone Sales Plunge 19% in 1Q24, Worst Quarter Since 2020

Apple Inc. (AAPL.US)      's iPhone sales in China fell 19% in 1Q24, the worst quarterly performance since the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, while its market share in China fell to third place at just 15.7%, lagging behind Honor and Vivo, which had a market share of 16.1%/ 17.4%, according to data from Counterpoint Research.

China's overall market grew by about 1.5% in 1Q24, led by local brands. Huawei's market share rallied from 9.3% in 1Q23 to 15.5% YTD, placing Huawei at the 4th place in China in terms of market share. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK)  +0.480 (+2.967%)    Short selling $480.73M; Ratio 21.871%   ranked the sixth, with its market share rising from 13.6% to 14.6%.
